This post is all about showing off the cute, fun, hopefully useful things I made over the holidays! I love making stuff like this, I think some of it is the sense of accomplishment--having something be DONE. Because so much of my life is neverending right now (laundry, discipline, housework, cooking, training, teaching...), it's nice to have projects that are just DONE. Finished. Complete. It's a good feeling! Plus, I just like to make stuff. That crafty part of me doesn't get to come out as often as it would like, so when I do get to be crafty I really enjoy it!
John and I made several of these Family Yahtzee games. I thought they were so cute! If any of you have Yahtzee Jr. you'll get the pictures and the scorecard thing. Emilia loved playing with everyone's dice, but her favorites were the ones of Aunt Jenny. I literally had to pry those pictures away from her!

John liked these Christmas pillows so much that he requested that I make some for us for next year. That's a high compliment from him because he doesn't usually ask for anything!

Some name pillows I made for my cousins to match their newly decorated rooms:

This is a blanket I made for the boys. Micah has slept with it every night! It's a good thing I have the stuff to make another one (it just didn't get done before Christmas) because I don't think he's going to let Josiah have a turn with it much--if at all!

I made my mom and Sue some reusable grocery bags:

These were for the kids. They're travel coloring/art books. I think they turned out OK, but in retrospect I shouldn't have used felt for the part that holds the coloring book in because it seems to rip easily. Oh well. Live and learn!

Emilia got a mini-quilt for her new doll bed (and pillow and fitted sheets, but I didn't take pics of those)

I made several of these cute reversible bags. I loved how they turned out. In fact, I just might have to make one for myself!

Last thing to share...I made some fun fleece hats for the kids. I thought they were adorable!! This first one was my favorite. I don't know why, but I just loved that fleece! And then there's Emilia modeling one of her cousins' hats.

Yay for craftiness!
Yay for finished projects!
Yay for the internet to provide me with so many ideas! :)
